Walking in God’s Plan: Completeness, Praise, and Faith

One of the most powerful truths we see in Acts 17 is that God is the Creator of everything—everything we can see, touch, and even what we can’t. He doesn’t live in temples made by human hands, and He doesn’t need anything from us to be complete. But here’s the incredible part: He chose to dwell inside us. Acts 17:28 (NLT) reminds us, “For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.’”

We were never created to function as spirit, soul, and body apart from His presence. It’s God’s presence in us, His Spirit dwelling within, that reveals and demonstrates the completeness we already have in Christ. When God looks at His children, He sees His own life reflected back, and that was always His design. This is why our praise matters—not as obligation, but as response. This is why faith, lived out through love, becomes our highest calling. God does not simply invite us to exist; He calls us to walk with Him, partnering with His Spirit as He guides, empowers, and shows the fullness of our life in Him.

Praise as Partnership: Reflecting God’s Glory

Praise is more than words or ritual—it’s partnership with God. When we praise Him, we are not trying to get His attention; we are aligning ourselves with the greatness of who He already is. Heaven is filled with praise because God is worthy, and when we lift our hearts toward Him, we step into that same rhythm. Praise positions us to reflect His glory, not by effort, but by alignment.

As we praise God for who He is, something within us begins to settle. Our perspective shifts. Our faith steadies. Praise lifts our eyes from what feels unstable and anchors us in God’s reality. And the more clearly we see Him, the more clearly we understand who we are.

This is why praise matters. It doesn’t just express belief—it strengthens it. It draws us into deeper awareness of God’s presence and prepares our hearts to walk in trust. Praise doesn’t end with words; it opens the way for faith to move forward.

Faith in Action: Walking in Christ

Salvation and victory are gifts we’ve received in Christ, but living them out requires intentional faith. We don’t simply believe and wait; we actively walk in the Spirit, allowing Christ to guide our choices, shape our hearts, and direct our steps. Our faith is not passive—it’s expressed in love, obedience, and daily alignment with God’s Will.

Colossians 2:6 (NLT) reminds us, “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.” This is a call to live intentionally in the reality of who we are in Him. When we embrace this truth, every thought, word, and action becomes a reflection of Christ. Our lives then demonstrate God’s purposes on earth—not by our own strength, but through the Spirit dwelling within us. Walking in faith means yielding to His guidance, trusting His timing, and allowing Him to reveal the fullness of the life we already have in Him.

Purpose and Preparation in Christ

When we walk with Christ, we begin to realize that our purpose isn’t something we invent — it’s something God has already prepared for us in Him. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) tells us,“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Our steps, our growth, and even our stretching seasons are part of God shaping us to live out what He’s already ordained.

Christ equips us with everything we need to fulfill His Will: the wisdom to recognize His leading, the strength to obey, and the grace to keep going when life gets heavy. Nothing in our lives is random or wasted. God works through every detail, preparing our hearts so we can walk confidently in the purpose He intended for us from the start.

At the end of the day, everything comes back to Christ—His presence in us, His Spirit guiding us, and His life shaping who we are becoming. Scripture reminds us that God is not distant or unreachable; He is near, He is present, and He has chosen to dwell within us. Because of that truth, our praise carries weight, our faith carries purpose, and our daily walk carries eternal significance. We were created to know Him, reflect Him, and live out the fullness of who we are in Christ. And as we seek and trust Him, we find ourselves becoming exactly what God always intended—His people, living in His purpose, empowered by His Spirit, and confident in His plan. ■
