A Body Solely Focused on Christ

We weren’t saved to stay still. We weren’t made new just to manage the same life with a little more peace. No—there’s a bigger plan in motion, and we’re in the middle of it. God’s doing something massive, and it’s time we wake up to the truth: we are becoming a Body solely focused on Christ. Not scattered. Not passive. But alive, united, and moving under one Head—Jesus.

This isn’t just poetic language. This is Heaven’s strategy. Ephesians 1:9–10 (NLT) tells us, “God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.” That’s what we’re becoming—a people pulled together, piece by piece, under the leadership of Jesus. That’s not just church on Sunday. That’s the eternal Kingdom taking shape, right now, in real time.

Jesus knew this day would come. In John 14:11-12 (NLT), He spoke it with fire and certainty: “Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do. I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” This isn’t a suggestion. That was a prophetic promise. A Word that won’t return void. And you and I? We’re the fulfillment in progress.

And yet—so many of us are distracted. Spiritually disconnected. Pulled in a thousand directions by earthly concerns, church politics, personal struggles, and surface-level priorities. But the time has come for a shift. We’re being called into greater spiritual maturity, and that means greater focus on the One who is our everything. The Body can’t move unless it’s under the command of the Head. Ephesians 1:22–23 (NLT) makes it plain: “God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.”

That’s the fuel for this move—Christ Himself, filling every gap, healing every broken place, and knitting us together into something unstoppable. This isn’t hype. This is sacred reality.

There’s an anointing that’s rising. And it’s not just for individuals—it’s corporate. In Acts 1:4, 8 (NLT), Jesus told the disciples, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere.” The same Spirit that fell on them in the upper room is forming us into something global and glorious: a witness so unified, so Holy Spirit-charged, that the world will know Christ is real.

It starts with focus. A holy obsession. A relentless desire to know Jesus, to move with Him, to become a reflection of His authority and love in the earth. You’ve already been blessed to become that. Ephesians 1:3 (NLT) affirms,“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” We are completely complete in Christ, with no good thing withheld from us.

So here’s the truth you’ve got to let sink into your heart: You’re not just a believer trying to make it. You are part of a heavenly organism, designed for dominion, for unity, for glory. We are being built into a Bride who mirrors her Groom—pure, powerful, and focused on His return.

Don’t let this world make you small. Don’t let division distract you. Don’t settle for living beneath your inheritance. Christ is forming His Body, and He’s looking for those who will stay connected, stay surrendered, and stay filled.

We’re not waiting for revival—we’re becoming it.We’re not spectators—we’re His image in motion. We are the Church Jesus died to raise.

And we’ve only just begun.

Prayer:Dear Father God,Thank You for the mystery of Your plan and the beauty of what You’re forming in us. I don’t want to live distracted or halfway focused. I want to be a part of what You’re building—a Body that moves when You speak and shines with Your glory. Heal what’s scattered in me. Bring into alignment what’s been out of sync. Let my life be a living witness of Christ alive in me. Keep me close to Your heart and Will. Make me ready for greater works and help me to be pleasing to You.In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, I pray, amen. ■
